Mathioya: Needy persons get help from partners

 

Persons living with
disabilities in Mathioya benefitted with wheelchairs and other walking aids
following the intervention of CDF and Goal Setters Foundation.

 The 65 beneficiaries among them five children
received the aids from area MP Peter Kimari  and officials of the foundation ending years
of challenges.

Speaking at Kiria ini
NG CDF office, Kimari said the government has a policy to reach out the needy
persons, but there were those shielding them from getting close.

 The support is valued at  Sh300,000  which will be a blessing to the needy persons.

“It is worth noting that
the government policies are clear on the support of persons with special needs to
enable them to earn a living,” said the MP.

 Mathioya CDF, he added was ready to partner
with individuals and organisations committed to improving the standard of the living of the needy persons.

Goal setters
Foundation official Ms Njoki Mwaura on her part urged the community not to shy
away from assisting persons in need of help.

 The Foundation, she said through support of
leaders were ready to reach all the persons with special needs in their
villages.

“Problems they persons
with disabilities go through are severe thus need for all to support them in
anyway,” she said.
