Esther Mwihaki Kamau kicked off working for Gaturi ward people
two weeks after she was elected.
Mwihaki who was elected on People Empowerment
Party (PEP) associated with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has joined Murang’a
Governor Mwangi wa Iria in distribution of New Year gifts to the locals.
In a surprise move, Mwihaki of New Year joined
the governor in a function that left her competitor Rosemary Wakuthii
confused.
In the past three years,
the governor had been using Wakuthii to
reach the people after the late Cryus Kiiru Mwangi who was elected in 2017 as
an independent candidate ignored him.
In a surprise move, Mwihaki declared support for the governor in his quest
for Presidency of Civic Renewal Party (CRP) next year.
“ As Gaturi MCA elect I
will support Mwangi wa Iria in his mission to be the next President as it is a
chance for Murang’a,” declared the MCA
elect.
The governor on his part
said he will work with Mwihaki he declared as a youth with a vision.
“ The MCAs I know will
help her understand the political game at the county assembly,” said the
Governor.
