In the past two years
there are individuals who have given Murang’a politicians a nightmare.
Karanja Mburu
Wamatangi is one who has been at the neck of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro
since he was appointed director at Lapsset Corridor in 2019.
Wamatangi through
his Wamatangi Foundation has been doing his best in serving the less fortunate
in the community in Kiharu.
Karanja Mburu
He has been
involved in construction of houses for the poor and water tanks for use in
learning institutions at millions of shillings.
Nyoro, an ally to Deputy
President William Ruto has also been on the ground rehabilitating
schools after years of neglect by the past politicians.
In Kandara, MP
Alice Wahome an ally to Ruto has been missing on the ground with
politicians led by Murang’a deputy Governor Maina Kamau, National
Irrigation Authority (NIA) Chairman Joshua Toro, Lawyer Mbiyu Kamau and Eng
Injinia Mwaura replacing her. Also in the race are lawyer Catherine Mugo and Chairman of Kandara Resident Association Mr PMG Kamau.Catherine Mugo

They have been
around in the constituency, serving the people.
In Mathioya,
MP Peter Kimari has not found peace as the community is divided between
him and Edwin Mugo.
Mugo rose in the
political limelight in the 2017 campaigns and has maintained the match. MP Peter Kimari
But Kimari, a
close ally to President Uhuru Kenyatta has continued serving the
community and campaigning for his re-election. Mugo is an ally to the
Deputy President and who invited him to visit the constituency a month
ago.
In Gatanga, MP
Joseph Ngugi has no serious challengers owing to his close interaction
with the people. MP Ngugi
“To serve the people one
needs to be on talking terms with all the people,” said Ngugi.
In Kigumo, MP
Wangari Mwaniki is facing strong opposition from Muturi Karanja a
Personal Assistant to Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria. Wangari Mwaniki
In Maragua, MP
Mary Wamaua is facing rough from his critics led by Ichagaki MCA Charles
Mwangi, politicians former MPs Elias Mbau and Kamande wa Mbuku.
Also Chege Niarenda is
also in the ring planning to dislodge Wamaua.
In Kangema, MP
Muturi Kigano is facing opposition from Johnson Mukuha who is an ally to Ruto.
