Murang’a County is exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform healthcare service delivery designed to improve patient experience across its health facilities.
Health officials have been holding consultative forums with the executive team from Zaideh Global based in Israel and Dubai discussing the partnership aimed at integrating AI into healthcare services.
Zaideh Global Chief Executive Officer Aaron Zaide said AI will reshape the healthcare landscape, making healthcare increasingly “data-driven and highly personalised.
“ Embracing these advancements are pivotal in delivering improved patient care,” said Mr Zaideh.
County Health CEC Dr Fredrick Mbugua said If the partnership is realised, AI-powered healthcare kiosks will be introduced in selected health facilities to assist patients with minor health conditions through basic medical assessment and guidance.
“ The innovation is expected to reduce waiting hours, reduce congestion in hospitals and allow healthcare workers to dedicate more time to patients requiring specialised medical attention,” he said.
Health Chief Officer Eliud Maina said the initiative is part of Murang’a County Government’s continued investment in technology and innovation driven healthcare solutions that enhance efficiency.
Maina said the telemedicine technology installed in Murang’a managed has saved the patients from travelling nor walking long distances as they interact with their health care providers at their local dispensaries,
“ All this is driven towards improving access to quality services and ensuring residents receive timely and effective medical care,” said Mr Maina.
