The Kimende area has been declared a danger zone, following the landslide catastrophe.
The The Kenya Red Cross declared the Kimende escarpment a danger zone following a landslide that struck the area on Tuesday night.
Early in the morning, emergency services were mobilized, with the Red Cross team currently en route to the scene to assist in rescue efforts.
The locality has since been cordoned off and declared a danger zone.

The KRC officials said although no fatalities have been confirmed, several people remain unaccounted for.
