The Mountain Journal The Commission for University Education (CUE) will today grant a Letter of Interim Authority to the Outspan Global University to offer the degree programmes and become the first private university in Nyeri County.
The institutional Vice Chancellor, Prof. Paul Mungai Mbugua, said the formal recognition by the national regulatory framework that OGU has met the foundational requirements to begin offering university-level education.
“ The degree programmes to be offered include: BSc in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, BSc in Nursing and BA in Psychology,” said the VC.

Built on more than two decades of practical healthcare delivery and training through the Outspan Hospital, OGU is uniquely positioned to integrate academic rigor with hands-on training, leveraging an ecosystem of existing healthcare infrastructure, experienced faculty, healthcare training, and strong industry partnerships, to deliver relevant and responsive healthcare education.
