Kandara: Politicians in the last minutes vote hunt

The politicians are in the final stretch in Kandara constituency, Murang’a eying to oust the incumbent Alice Muthoni Wahome   of UDA from the position  he has been holding in the last two terms.

Already, Julius Kaberere, an independent candidate, has been crisscrossing the villages in the sub county holding meetings with 105,148 voters spread in the six wards. Kaberere, a resident of vote-rich Ruchu ward in the meetings, has been outlining his development agenda  focusing on women and youth empowerment.

If elected, he says, he will work closely with the national and county governments in addressing challenges facing the locals. I will complete the existing ones as well as initiating new ones for the interest of the taxpayers.  

“ Kandara people should know that Kaberere will ensure the stalled Bildad Kaggia Hospital  is completed. Murang’a South region  has suffered for years due to lack of level four health facilities  and it will be a reality,” said Kaberere.


He adds that Kandara requires transformation as it is endowed  with resources that are well utilized and our people can have their living standards transformed.

Other candidates in the race are Peter Kinyanjui Ngugi of jubilee party, Injinia Mwaura, Chege Njuguna, Kibiru PMG Junior, Murang’a Deputy Governor Maina Kamau, Former MP Gacuru Karenge.

Others are Patrick Karaini, Wakili Mbiyu Kamau, Antony Njoroge Kimani, James Kimani Mburu and John Gichuhi Ndirangu, Erastus Gatehi Nyoike and Samuel Kioni.
