Bernard Kang’ethe Njenga recounts the suffering he was going through in Ng’araria area educating his children when he served as a tout in the Public Service Vehicle (PSV).

Njenga says the Sh500 he got paid per day by his employer in the matatu business  was not enough for  the family, and including educating his two children who were in secondary school.

“ I wanted to buy a pick up  to venture in the transport business and approached Mr Kahenya who supported me. Am presently  in the avocado produce transport business. I got permission  from Agriculture Food Authority (AFA) to transport avocado,” said.

Speaking to The Mountain Journal, Njenga said the support ensured his children completed their education and self-reliance.

“ The gesture by Mr Kahenya brought relief in my family as today I have a truck dealing in transport business,” said Njenga.

John Maina is full of thanks to the foundation after he was assisted with two power saws that brightened his life.

Maina is a trader cum a farmer  who sells more than 85 litres of milk as he remembers how he wrote a project proposal  to the foundation  for the power saws.

“ Today I have an agro vet shop in Kiunyu in Gatanga, have dairy cows and avocado trees. Mr Kahenya has provided support to many of the people in Kandara,” said Maina.

Henry Mwaura who runs a posh mill remembers how came to him and supported him in acquiring a modern posho mill.

“ When I approached him he directed me to a premise in the Industrial area in Nairobi where I was given the posho mill that I am using today,” said Mwaura.
