Vote for the finance bill and get Sh2 millioin, claims Juja MP

A lawmaker has claimed how the Members of parliament  were offered a hefty kitty  to throw their support behind the controversial Finance Bill 2024/2025.

In a shocking revelation, Juja MP George Koimburi   claimed that  the lawmakers  were each offered Sh2 Million.

Koimburi spoke at AIPCA Ndururumo Church in his constituency, alleging that he and others declined  to receive the money  as he stood firm  against  the finance bill.

“We were promised Sh 2 million each if we voted Yes,” he revealed as his sentiments sparked heated debate .

The lawmaker said his commitment to his electorate will not sway his political stand citing that he will not vote in support of the bill.

 In the constituencies the MPs and facing it hard  as they are shouted by the youth with some being labelled traitors.

 Others have switched off their mobile phones over fear of receiving calls nor messages  from the irate youth.
