Relief to Njeru as court restrains Kirundi

The high court issued a temporary injunction against 13 respondents against interfering  with the functions of Enos Njeru as the Chairman at the  KTDA Holding.

Justice J. W.  Mongare issued an order that reinstated Njeru  in the position, until the suit is heard and determined.

Njeru Moved to court on January 29,  seeking for an injunction after the KTDA Holding Board during a tender committee meeting elected Chege Kirundi.

Njeru in the petition argued that   the 13 respondents unlawfully converted a tender committee forum for other purposes.

 Justice Mongare ruled that the matter will be mentioned on February 20,

“ The respondents, Kirundi, Gatundu South MP Gabriel Kagombe and 12 others have seven days to file their submissions, ruled the court.

 The court granted only two prayers from the petitioner out of six.

The first prayer, Njeru  pleaded with the court to certify the matter as urgent owing to the grave and immediate risk of irreparable harm to the petitioners rights and the governance  structure  at KTDA  Holding limited.

The second prayer Njeru pleaded for an temporary injunction  pending the inter partes  hearing and determination of the application.

Njeru comes from Rukuriri Tea Factory in Embu, while Kirundi is the Chairman at Kiru Tea Factory in Murang’a.
