Time is ticking against the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as High Court Judges Eric Ogola, Freda Mugambi and Anthony Mrima will tomorrow at 8.30 am give a ruling.
The much awaited ruling is whether to stop the Senate from hearing DP Gachagua’s impeachment motion.
At the Senate the impeachment motion being prosecuted by the national assembly will kick off at 9am.
As Gachagua fights for survival, in the mountain the locals are endorsing leaders who could replace him if the senate impeaches him.
The leaders found fit for DP slot include Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata, Kirinyaga Governor Mumbi Waiguru. The east of the mountain proposed their own Prof Kithure Kindiki for the slot.
Also Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro who is a close ally to President William Ruto is also assumed to salivate for the slot.
