Kenya Urban-Rural Authority (KURA)
for the first time in history has embarked to improve road networks within
Murang’a town.
In the past decades’ pavements within
the town hosting county headquarters have been a nightmare, with locals forced
to walk in the mud.
Last week, the authority embarked in
working on a kilometer stretch of road serving law courts, lands registry, St
James All Marty’s, Kenya Power, and Kenya Forest Service among other offices.
This are efforts made by Murang’a
Town MCA Jecinta Ng’ang’a who promised to lobby for the improvement of the road
networks for the interests of the community.
Ng’anga speaking to the press said
the offices receive more than 500 visitors on weekly basis thus need a road connecting them done.
“As a community leader, I lobbied for
the road to be done to the expectation of the locals who for years have been walking
in the mud, in the pursuit for the services for the public offices,” said the
