Wakili Mbiyu Kamau has emerged among the top leaders in Murang’a county working towards stopping the spread of Covid 19.
Mbiyu in the past three weeks has been instrumental in supporting community initiatives to stop the spread of the disease.
On Sunday, he joined worshippers at Mairungi ACK Church in Kandara constituency where he donated facemasks to members.
He also educated the members on the need to regularly wash their hands and frequent sanitising, as a measure to stop the spread of Covid 19.
“We can only deal with the disease if Ministry of health guidelines are observed to the latter,” said Mbiyu.
Mbiyu asked the Christians to exploit their potential to assist one another instead of waiting for help from outside.
“As a son of Kandara am ready to join hands with others when called upon”, he said.
He praised management of the church for their contribution during KAMA fellowship where they led in raising Sh1.1million, leading in the entire Maragua ACK Diocese.
Last week, Wakili donated hand washing tanks to various primary schools to support the initiative for a clean environment.
