With a lot of passion, the old and the young took to the track for the “The run; the fun; the passion; the determination; the talents’.
This event brought together budding young athletes from various schools in Murang’a, veteran runners as well as elite who showcased the formidable sporting skills alive in the region.

This all-encompassing event has race categories for school children to the senior members of the society with the elite race attracting the highest cash award of Sh 200,000.

It was the Great Murang’a Community Run at the General Ihûra Stadium where the children ran a 2km race, and a 0km for the elites.
The Principal SecretaryElijah Mwangi said other winners took home various cash awards ranging from Sh 150,000 to Sh 50,000 as well as presents and awards like medals, mattresses and blankets among others.
The event, he said, brought together budding young athletes from various schools in Murang’a, veteran runners as well as elite who showcased the formidable sporting skills alive in the region.
It was delightful to see the manifestation of talents by the minors who ran with heart and passion; the spirit of professional competitiveness and the warmth of talent encountering talent.

The race was a sport in action towards promoting talent and sobriety.
