Mumbi Girls High School Principal Esther Wambugu has been transferred to Masii Girls in Machakos county.
The action by the TSC on Ms Wambugu is the latest move in the big schools in Murang’a county in the recent past.
In the handing over forum at the school, in a ceremony presided by the county directors of TSC and Education Ms Margaret Kinyanjui and Mr Phillip Wambua respectively
Reports indicate that Wambugu was moved to Mumbi Girls in 2015 from Githambia secondary school in Gatanga sub county.
In March last year, Wambugu was elected the chairperson to the Murang’a county Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (Kessha) branch after she narrowly defeated the Githumu Boys Principal Mr Humprey Kariuki.
“The TSC has the mandate to initiate transfer of teachers, but in a fair manner,” said the county TSC director.
Exit of Wambugu led to the launch of Kessha campaign, with members seeking they be allowed to elect their county branch chairperson.
“ We are now seeking to be allowed to elect our chairperson instead of the vice chairperson assuming the position,” said one of the heads from Mathioya.
The heads celebrated her exit from Murang’a, alleging she was behind intimidations, and malicious transfer of colleagues.
