Innovation by an entrepreneur has seen the introduction of a new Pool game.
The new gaming, codenamed ‘Krek-It’ comes with immense advantages, among them, easier to play, less time consuming with diverse winning prizes.
Charitable organization, Base Yetu and a revolutionary Social Media outlet, LipaLikes, are the platforms behind the new gaming initiative that is set to be launched in a few days’ time and before being rolled out in other parts of the country soon.
The organizations’ Chief Executive Officer Nick Mararo says the new initiative will be a game-changer in the Pool Game industry that is enjoyed by millions of people worldwide.
“This new game, Krek-It is our innovation. It is not practiced anywhere else in the world. We own it since we have patented it. In due course, it will reach all corners of the world,” quipped Mararo when he inducted some Pool Game players in Nyeri town on Sunday.
He said the idea behind the new game was to make sure that more people were able to take part in Pool game in a single sitting since it takes less time to play. Further, he disclosed that prizes will be diverse since several corporate firms will be coopted to sponsor tournaments.
Unlike the ordinary pool game where a winner is only declared after playing all the balls, in this new initiative, every ball has a prize, either cash or anything that sponsors might decide to set. More interesting, those who don’t know how to play the ordinary pool game can take part in this new initiative since one can play by using bare hands to target and hit a ball.

What is all about Krek-It Pool Game?

Krek-It Mtaani is a grassroots gaming activation that brings the excitement of pool table competitions to different towns and regions across Kenya and beyond.
It is designed as an engaging, community-driven initiative where it blends competitive gaming with entertainment, social impact, and brand engagement, creating a thrilling experience for players and spectators alike.
It works through setting up mobile pool table activations in high-traffic areas, engaging youth and local communities in friendly competitions. Players participate in rounds of the Krek-It game, where they have the chance to win exciting prizes, including cash, daily essentials, tools and equipment, airtime, and even livestock like chickens or goats for jackpot winners. In the first season’s main jackpot, that will be televised in a TV station they are partnering with, the winner will take home KSh5 million.
The event is infused with music, entertainment, and influencer collaborations, making it a vibrant street-level spectacle.
The new game can be played anywhere as it targets youth in urban and rural setups as well as those who have interests in playing pool game, their age notwithstanding. The organizers hope to allow more people to participate by inducting interested players from all parts of the country.
Beside gaming, Krek-It Mtaani serves as a platform for positive social engagement, economic empowerment, and local business promotion. The initiative also provides a unique advertising and brand activation opportunity for partners looking to connect authentically with communities.
In the last few years, Mr Mararo has been involved in promoting the pool game across the country with winners pocketing prizes worth millions of shillings.
