Coffee market injected Sh Sh2,126,661,517 in the economy following the sale of 37,105 bags of coffee at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE).
The earnings reflect the Sh2 billions of last week after the 33,673 bags.
In the report from the auction market, 11 brokers delivered 2,262,011 kgs of coffee from the farmers in cooperatIves and estates sectors.
Kabangara factory coffee brokered by Kirinyaga Slopes achieved the highest price of sh 57,563 per bag of Grade AA.
Factories that achieved the best prices brokered by Alliance Berries .Limited for the quality coffee grade AA are Kiangondu Sh57,043,Ndima ini Sh 56,004, Kagoroto Sh55,224 and Gachatha Sh55,224.
In the brokers category, the report states, Alliance Berries delivered 15,541bags that fetched Sh 890,246,481,Kirinyaga Slopes 5,648 bags for Sh 332,023,778, New KCPU 4,955 bags, for Sh 281,619,932 among others.
NCE CEO Lisper Ndung’u said the market had 11,255 bags of Grade AA and 16,331bags and AB that earned Sh677,830,353 and Sh947,921,845 respectively.
In the auction 21 coffee dealers participated, compared to 14 of the last week.
“ We are still calling on farmers to continue producing the quality grades that are in high demand in the international market.
Kigumo MP Joseph Munyoro says the NCE market has continued attracting better prices, thus the need for high production.

“ Am happy that the returns to the farmers are attractive, appealing for increased production of coffee at the farm level,” said Munyoro.
In the dealers category,Ibero Kenya took the lead bought 9,952 bags for Sh566,722,164, Taylor Winch 6,364 bags for Sh369,462,321,C.Dorman 5,895 bags for 358,428,533,Louis Dreyfus 4,831 bags for Sh265,940,039, Kenyacof 4,758 bags for Sh285,954,509 among others.
