The former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has assured Kenyans by the end of January he will provide the political direction his allies will follow in efforts to liberate the nation.

Gachagua accompanied by Maragua MP Mary Wamaua, Senator Joe Nyutu and a section of Murang’a MCAs said he will live to his word to provide the mountain on the right direction  ahead of 2027.

Speaking at Gakoigo grounds in Maragua during a funeral service of the four children who perished after a house they were sleeping in caught fire, said he was widely consulting to ensure he provides the right direction.

“ Am listening to the advice from various leaders who have been with Kalonzo Musyoka, and Eugene Wamalwa,” said Gachagua.

The former DP revisited the unending abduction of the youth, calling on President William Ruto to live to the word and release the abductees.

Gachagua, said it was a pity that Ruto four days after he ordered the release of the abductees none has been received by their families.

He advised the Police IG Douglas Kanja to ensure the police protect the citizens instead of causing trouble.

He said the former IG  Japhet Koome manhandled the youth protestors before he was advised to resign.

“Kanja ordered the release of a police officer who hurled a tear gas canister in Shamata which is a shame.  There is a citizen’s arrest, but Kanja ordered his release,” said Gachagua.

“The police are supposed to  protect the citizens but what happened in Limuru and Shamata is regrettable,” said Gachagua.

“The police are duty bound to  protect the Kenyans, but Ruto has destabilized his government, thus appointing the political rejects to assist him in running the government,” said former DP.

Wamaua and Nyutu said it was painful that families are suffering following the increased abduction calling for the release of the youth.

They said they will support  Gachagua after he proved he was ready to support the residents in the villages.

NCIC Vice Commissioner Wambui Nyutu  said the abduction of the youth is an undemocratic sign, thus should be abandoned.

“ The law is clear that if the youth had committed an offence, they should be charged in court and due process to follow,” said Wambui.
