Measures for credible examination ready, says Njengere

The Kenya National Examination Council has rolled out strict measures to cub exam malpractices in the ongoing national examinations.

KNEC CEO David Njengere said the measures have been employed to ensure the delivery of credible national examinations.

Speaking at Murang’a East sub-county KNEC container,  the CEO asked the officials assigned to supervise the examination and the center managers to follow laid down regulations that will uphold the integrity of the national exams.

One of the measures employed is to have the examination centres gates remain open to ensure those monitoring the examination have access to the school when the candidates are writing their examinations.

“As soon as the vehicle carrying the examination material enters the School compound, that gate must remain open. This will allow officers monitoring the exams to easily access the exam centers to check if there are any malpractices.”  said the CEO.

At the same time,  the KNEC official revealed that two cases of attempted impersonation were reported on Monday.

Njengere noted that the suspects in Nairobi and Kilifi were apprehended and locked in police custody, pending investigations.
