They spoke during a swearing-in ceremony where the six members assured Kang’ata they would walk with him on the journey to revamp sectors of education, agriculture, and entrepreneurship among others.

The council was appointed last year as the Kang’ata administration strategy to collect its own source revenue of Sh3 billion annually from Sh600 million to facilitate the implementation of development programmes in the 35 wards.

Munga said the council has the responsibility to add value to the Murang’a development agenda.

“We have the passion, capacity and experience that will help nurture the county to grow and uplift the living standard of our people,” said Munga.

Macharia said the eight-man committee has the required expertism  to back up Kang’ata development agenda.

“We are elders  from this county and willing  to be part of the development  for the interest of our people,” said Macharia.
