More than 1,500 elderly benefitted with Christmas goodies from a Murang’a based businessman Mr Simon Wachira.
The donation targeted persons aged 70 years and above the vulnerable, orphans among others who had been selected by the village elders.
The goodies were distributed at Maragi and Muchungucha chief camps in Kiharu with each resident taking home goodies worth Sh2,000.
Residents Joyce Wanjiru and Faith Njeri celebrated the gesture by Wachira for supporting the less fortunate persons during the festive seasons.
Njeri said Magunas Supermarket during Covid 190 pandemic presented donations to the community through churches .
“ I have children with disabilities and most of the time I am home caring for them. The donation from Magunas Supermarket is appreciated,” said Njeri.
