Muranga gets a new speaker

Politician Johnson Mukuha is the new speaker at the Muranga county assembly. 

Mukuha  who was in charge of President William Ruto campaign in Muranga county garnered 38 votes, against four of his sole opponent Stephen Macharia.

Assembly Clerk Kuria Thuita declared Mukuha from Kangema the winner.

In the contest, 46 MCAs’  balloted  with two votes were declared spoilt. 

Kuria said in the race seven candidates showed interest where only two were qualified.

“Two others failed to get a  proposer and a second,” said Kuria.
