Mount Kenya University in Partnership with UNESCO and the University of Nairobi (UoN) are implementing a students’ empowerment project dubbed, “Our Lives, Our Rights, Our Future (O3 Plus)”, which was recently launched at UoN, where MKU was auspiciously represented.
The goal of the 03 Plus project is to provide support to students in Higher Education and Tertiary Institutions (HTEI) to empower them against drugs abuse, mental health challenges and to acquire positive sexual and reproductive health outcomes through sustained reduction in new HIV infections, unintended pregnancies and sexual and gender-based violence.
The first key activity of the project at Mount Kenya University is the launch of the project and an awareness campaign event that will be held on Tuesday 19th October 2021 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Mwai Kibaki Convention Centre (MKCC).
Guest Speaker/Chief Guest will be Dr. Vincent Gaitho, MKU Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chairman, University Council.
