Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria has been ranked the second best Governor through initiating development programmes after his Kitui counterpack Kivutha Kibawana.
Iria, a second term governor and vying for Presidency in the Usawa Kwa Wote Party garnered 73.4 percent, Makueni’s Kivutha emerged the top at 80 percent.
The presidential candidate development scorecard boosted by stability in milk prices for farmers following the increment of milk price at Sh40 per litre up from Sh35 per litre.

Last year, Iria was celebrated by health stakeholders after he constructed a 35 bed ICU facility within 21 days, which helped hundreds of Covid 19 patients.
In the ranking of the governors, Kakamega’s Wycliff Oparanya 71.3 percent, Alfred Mutua 68.9 percent, Stephen Sang 67.2 percent.
Others are Meru’s Kiraitu Murungi 65.4 percent, Charity Ngilu 64 percent, James Nyoro 63.6 percent.
The research in the 47 counties was conducted between September 7 and September 9, which listed poor performers in development as Nairobi acting Governor Annie Kananu at 19.4 percent, Fahim Twaha 26.4 percent, Dhadho Godana 29.6 percent, Cyprian Awiti 29.7 percent.
