Stop Profiling me as a lesser Presidential candidate, says Iria to the security agents
Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria made a scathing attack on the law enforcers following blocking his Presidential Campaign convoy in Nyandarua on Sunday.
The second term Governor said the action will not frustrate his ambition for the Presidency despite other leaders from Mt Kenya region holding night meetings planning to auction the nine million votes.
Addressing the press, the governor said the police using Covid 19 infection as the parameter to block the convoy is outdated and demands for an explanation from Police Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai, over the reasons he was discriminated against.
The Governor campaigning under Usawa Kwa Wote expressed displeasure that other presidential candidates who include Deputy President William Ruto, and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi had been allowed to tour the county without any actimbon.
“Musalia was in Nyandarua on Saturday why did they profile me being a kikuyu from Central region as some out to spread Covid 19, yet the convoy was to popularize my candidature in Nyandarua and beyond,” said the Usawa kwa Wote Party leader.
He said Nyandarua people are members of Usawa Kwa Wote who have been seeking his knowledge on how best to make their dairy sector improve to Murang’a county standards.
“ Murang’a dairy farmers are paid Sh40 per litre of milk while in Nyandarua they are exploited at Sh18 per litre,” said the governor.
