Laikipia MP aspirant Mary Miano has moved to donate food to victims of insecurity in Laikipia West region.
During the distribution of food residents of Wangaci, 18 and Kamwenja villages smiled to their homes.
Maitho said she was moved by the plight of the locals after they were ejected from their homes by bandits looming the villages stealing livestock.
Duncan Mwangi a resident appreciated gesture by Miano saying the leaders should emulate her action.
“Our people were ejected from their homes by bandits and they are going without food. It will be noble for the community to come to their rescue,” said Mwangi.
On her part Miano said she is planning to visit the affected victims in the coming days with enough food.
“There is need for the government to address the insecurity in the locality and alleviate the suffering our people are going through,”said Miano.
