Iria among the leaders identified best in the region

Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria has been named the best leader in the Central region region, while two Members of County Assemblies, Isaac Kamote Waciama and Veronica Ikunywa of Murang’a and Laikipia County Assemblies listed.

 The Governor has also declared  to run for Presidency to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming General Election.

 Nationally, Sport Cabinet Secretary  Amina Mohammed, Interior and National Coordination Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho  and Health Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi named the best.

In the political arena, Murang’a MP Sabina Chege was named among the best alongside Kajiado County Assembly Speaker  Johnson Parmuat.

In the County Gala Award Nyeri Deputy Governor Dr Caroline Karugu has also been listed among the best leaders.

Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata and an ally to Deputy President William Ruto named the best senator.  Kiambu’s Woman Representative Gathoni Muchomba and her Gatundu South Counterpart Moses Kuria named the best MP.

Nyeri County Assembly Speaker John Kaguchia is listed as the best speaker in the Central region.

Best MPs  from the Mountain side are led by Kiharu’s Ndindi Nyoro, Kimani Ichung’wa, Patrick Mariru,Kimani Ngunjiri, George Theuri,

In the best executive committee members nationally from the region are Murang’a Joseph Mbai and Jackline Njogu of Agriculture and Livestock in Kirinyaga county listed by the County Gala Award  the best performing.

 Other CEC are Jemmy Lenya Meru- (Lands and Planning), Dorothy Naivasha- (Tharaka Nithi-Finance), Embu’s John Njagi- (Finance), John Mungia ( Nyandarua- Health), and Beth Kairimi( Nyeri health and sanitation).
