New board asserts authority as new CEO appointed
Wilson Muthaura is the new acting Chief Executive Officer at KTDA.
Appointment of Muthaura by the newly installed KTDA board chairman David Ichoho followed strong resistance by the former board that insisted it was still in office.
The board has given direction to deal with those who will cooperate, and sack the trouble makers.
Ichoho stamped his authority as he installed Muthaura as the CEO to replace Mr Lerionka Tiampati who was ordered to proceed on a three months compulsory leave early this week.
The board also sent packing Company Secretary Kennedy Omanga and Managing Director MS Alfred Njagi, Benson Ngari, (Director Finance and Strategy), David Mbugua (ICT General Manager), Brown Kanampiu, (Procurement0, Lincoln Munyao (General Manager Audit) and Francis Miano, (General Manager Technical Services).
The new board appointed Simeon Rugut as the acting Finance and Strategy director following a board meeting held on Wednesday barely a week after the new board took over the troubled agency.
Until his new appointment Rugut was the Finance Director for KTDA Management Services.
