New board at KTDA
By The Mountain Journal
Kenya Tea
Development Agency (KTDA) has a new leadership under the chairmanship of Ichochi
Muni.
He will be deputised by Dr Wesley Koech Zobne 8 in the west of Rift. They were elected, ending the long journey in the transformation of the tea sector that started two years ago.
Muni from
Kiambu County was competing with Chege Kirundi from Kiru tea factory, Murang’a.
The directors’
action brought to an end leadership of Nyeri based tea farmer Peter Kanyago who
had been at the helm of the agency.
They appointed Patrick Ngunjiri the company secretary ending tenure of the Dr Kennedy Omanga, with Dr Julius Kones and Irungu Nyakera being the reform coordinators.
