Jamu aka Kabisa on the way to be the next Murang’a Governor

Entry of former KIgumo MP Jamleck Kamau in Murang’a Governorship politics has caused a stir forcing others to take cover.
A week ago, Kamau speaking from his Kigumo constituency backyard sent a strong warning to Water and Irrigation Principal Secretary Joseph Wairagu aka Kwaura Kwaura that he will be in the ring for governorship.
Kamau’s fame is when he served in the Nairobi Metropolitan Ministry and how he helped Murang’a County be included in the Nairobi Metropolitan zone.
Kamau, when he headed the Ministry, helped install the street lights that helped to improve security in Gatanga and Kandara.
” I have a desire to steer Murang’a to great heights and through the support of the community all will be achieved,” said Kamau.
Immediately after Kamau sent a political warning, there were several political meetings in Murang’a and Nairobi with some Wairagu supporters marching back to their former fold.
Wambu Gachie, a political analyst describe Kamau as a strong force in Murang’a politics being a close ally to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
” Kamau has the capacity to succeed Governor Mwangi wa Iria who is set to retire from the seat next year,” said Wambu.
Others in the race for the governorship include Irungu Nyakera, who has championed reforms in the tea sector.
