Former Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has declared his wish to run for Murang’a Governorship slot ,ending the debate his future.
Kamau who in 2017 lost to Governor Mwangi wa Iria Jubilee party ticket at nomination said in a month time his impact will be felt across the county.
“Having served Kigumo people for two terms, am duty board to go for the higher position to be able to serve other people in Maragua and beyond,”said Kamau.
Kamau in 2019 was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to chair Tarda board.
He sounded a warning to gubernatorial candidates on the ground including Water and Irrigation Principal Secretary Joseph Wairagu and former PS Irungu Nyakera to ready for a political battle.
The declaration by Kamau gave Kigumo MP Wangari Mwangi and Muturi Karanja Personal Assistant to Iria is a relief in their campaign next year.
Kamau spoke in Kigumo over the weekend.
