Murang’a public taken through the document as Laikipia assembly pass it

Murang’a County 1.2 million residents
endorsed the BBI report.

The public participation exercise conducted by
the county assembly saw the locals who gathered at the sub-county headquarters
supporting the document, saying it will increase resources to the counties at
35 percent up from 15 percent.

Elected leaders led by Governor
Mwangi wa Iria, MPs Wangari Mwaniki( Kigumo), Peter Kimari( Mathioya), Mary
Wamaua( Maragua), and Nduati Ngugi( Gatanga) joined the locals in endorsing the
report

 Iria was at Murang’a Municipal Hall where he
joined MCA Jecinta Ng’ang’a when the locals were taken through the document by
experts.

At Mabanda market in Gatanga, the
locals led by MP Ngugi and MCA Nahason Gachuhi endorsed the report.


 Missing in action were Senator
Irungu Kang’ata and MPs Ndindi Nyoro(Kiharu) and Alice Wahome ( Kandara) who
are working against the BBI.

 In Laikipia county, the MCA voted for the bill, a day after  the assembly conducted a public participation forums.

The debate lasted for two hours  where the members endorsed it.
