A former police man connected with
murder of the former Muthithi OCS five years ago has been arrested.
Operation to trace the suspect
started two weeks ago after suspect Albert Lelei Ntuitai mobile phone signal
was detected by DCI to be plying between Baringo and Narok.
The operation led by Murang’a
County Criminal Investigation Officer Daniel Kandie netted the suspect a
former police driver from his hideout in Senetio area in Narok on Saturday.
The late
Henry Odongo Sindani who served as Muthithi Police Station OCS was
shot nine times while he was in his office on June 26, 2016, .
They allegedly picked a quarrel, as
the suspect was accused of frustrating security operations as he was a
drunkard.
The gun that killed the OCS was last
year traced at Kaharati police post in a flower bed 10 kilometres away.
Kandie said he teamed up with Crime
Research and Intelligence Bureau experts to smoke the suspect from his house.
The detective said the suspect has
been transported to Kigumo police station where murder charge will be preferred
on him.
