Former Laikipia
East MP Mutahi Kimaru was arrested by detectives in a matter surrounding
land fraud.
This
happened in Nyeri moments after he paid a Sh500,000 fine after he was found guilty by
Lady Justice Mary Oundo for contempt of court and
interfering with a suit between him and a Laikipia settler Fiona Ansett.
He was sentenced to a six months civil jail, by the judge in August last year. The sentence was suspended. More details to follow.
