MAKUYU: Help Kambiti primary school pleads the teacher

 

Kambiti Primary
School in Makuyu, Murang’a is exposed to challenges including lack of a
perimeter fence.

 The 40-year-old institution located along
Nyeri- Nairobi highway has leaking roofs, lack of a gate among other myriads challenges.

 The school headmistress Ms Elizabeth Mutuva said
there was a need for the leaders to back Kambiti community efforts to
rehabilitate the institution.

 She spoke when Murang’a MP Sabina Chege joined
Safaricom Foundation Manager James Gatuna donated a 10,000 litres water tank to the school.

“Due to lack of
a fence strangers walk through the school compound. the public property is
under threat thus need for the cooperation between the stakeholders to assist the school,” said the headmistress.

 She said the board of management will write a proposal seeking facilitation from Maragua NG CDF led by MP Mary Wamaua.

 “List down the needs of the school we shall
lobby to ensure there are addressed for the interest of the learners” said
Chege.

She also took
time to encourage the learners at the primary school and the nearby Kambiti
secondary school  to concentrate in
learning  and ignore prophets of doom in
their lives.

“ There is need for mothers to take charge and counsel their
daughters to shape their destiny in life,” said Chege.
