KIRINYAGA: MCAs and Wairugu bury hatchets

After months of disconnect in
Kirinyaga county, the leaders have buried their differences and agreed to work
together.

Due to the hatred between the
executive led by Governor Annie Waiguru and County Assembly through Kamau
Murango, services had nearly collapsed.

The camps came into terms following
interventions by council of elders and politicians to assist in redeeming the
image of Kirinyaga County.

Waiguru and MCAs who had been
opposed to her leadership shared a platform and addressed the media.

Early in the year, the assembly
impeached the governor but the process was reversed at the senate where she was
exonerated.

During the struggle that sabotaged the county
financial estimates, the MCAs claimed projects were being implemented
selectively.

The projects in wards where MCAs supported the governor got
attention,  thus created a disconnect in
the leadership.
