Lemiso Kimiti a police officer offered to build a
shelter to the family of Ms Ann Wamaitha to save them from being exposed to
cold nights.
Wamaitha a resident in Sintakara village a widow to the late Salaton Lemaiyian Njolil who died
two years ago, after a short illness. She was left to cater for her eight children, three are in need
of special need as they have mental conditions.
Lemiso said he came to know the plight of the
family in the course of his duty and was supported by friends.
“It is my wish to be part of giving a smile to the less
fortunate. Other people can assist the
family and help the children with mental challenges get treatment,” he said.
After the husband died, Wamaitha was left with huge debts as the family was without a shelter.
