Three politicians in Laikipia have declared their interest to fight for the position of Woman Representative.
The trio, Purity Kendi, Jane Kagiri and Mary Miano are among the tens of politicians eying the slots in the county in the next year General Election.
Kendi from Umande ward has been crisscrossing the county’s electoral wards pleading with the residents to vote for her as she helps the poor in the villages.
They are interested in the seat presently occupied by MP Catherine Waruguru who is perceived to be campaigning for Laikipia East MP if she would not be picked as a running mate by the contenders for the Governorship slot.
The contenders have mobilized their supporters to use the social media platforms to reach the voters at the sub-location levels and attend the church functions.
“ Am in the ring flexing muscles through meeting the people at the grassroots while attending to their needs. There is a lot of neglect in the county thus needing young blood to correct the mess ‘entertained’ by the leaders,” said Kendi when she addressed a meeting in Tigithi.
