Mt Kenya people should rally behind Mwangi wa Iria, he is the most straightforward politician among many.
According to Patrick Muigai eying senatorial slot in Murang’a, the political tides are oscillating and he has refused to align or budge, even in the face of acute manipulation and appeasement of Gema interest by other community leaders.
Iria has been popularising his Presidetial candidature through Usawa Kwa Wote a party he founded four years ago.
He says Iria, unlike Moses Kuria and Mwangi Kiunjuri who are crying with bitterness.
Usawa Leader Mwangi wa Iria has refused the temptation of subjugation in political camps. He formed a political party way back two years ago and made it so independent of political affiliation. Kuria is popularisng his Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) and Kiunjuri is allied to The Service Patry (TSP).
Iria , he explains, is the next dependable de facto leader who gives no qualms or quarter in protecting the mountain.
“Mwangi Wa Iria rejected offer of joining One Kenya Alliance last week and told ODM leader Raila Odinga to his face in Gatanga that every Kenyan can be president and he is hoping to be his worth competitor,” said Muigai
He said the second term governor is working to defend the regional nine million votes as he is presently engaging local leaders.
The governor campaign team has started branding the vehicles in readiness for the countrywide campaigns.
In the past three months, Iria said, has been holding meetings with delegations from 47 counties eying to get backing.
” I will be in the ballot as there is no law blocking a leader from Mt Kenya region from ascending to Presidency,” said Iria.
Those eying the Presidency are Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi and Kanu National chairman Gedion Moi.
