Kenya Seeds Company Chairperson Wangui Ngirici has declared to vie  for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat on a united opposition party.

Without naming the party, Wangui said she would  join the opposition wagon, dumping President William Ruto UDA Party.

“ I am seeking Kirinyaga residents to elect me as their third governor,” he said at Kanjai in Ndia constituency.

She called for peaceful campaigns cautioning the youths not to be used to causing chaos.

Ngirici said soon she will announce the party she intends to join, heating the politics since if she joins DCP, then Murango who has been Rigathi Gachagua’s die hard to follow and Ruto’s critic will face off during the nominations.

Ngirici’s missed the State House has sending waves across the county of her detachment with the government:- though she had hinted to not renewing her contract at the Kenya Seed when it comes to an end.

“Wangui was the only leading serving in the Kenya Kwanza government from Kirinyaga who did not turn up at today’s statehouse meeting when Kirinyaga residents thronged there, this is an indication of her “not being” in government anylonger”, said a source.

Her declaration marks a major turning point for a leader once seen as a close ally of President William Ruto, and is now being viewed as a significant setback for the Kenya Kwanza alliance in the Mt. Kenya region.

Ngirici took aim at Governor Anne Waiguru, urging her to keep off succession politics and allow a fair ground for aspiring leaders to present their agendas to the electorate. She stressed that voters should be given the freedom to choose their next leadership without influence from incumbents.
