“ The ground has been instrumental in the promotion of sports among other events in Murang’a town,” said Kang’ata.

Kangema MP said General Kago stadium has been in dire need of upgrading as it remains a central point where events are held.

“ I plead with the CS  to facilitate the uplifting of General Kago stadium that has been in the waiting list for a long time,” said Kihungi.

The Ps said once complete, Mumbi Stadium will not only serve as a catalyst to sports development but also uplift the profile of the country as well as give the region a strategic edge in hosting international sporting tournaments.
