Kenyatta University Graduands shine

 There was pop and dance during the Kenyatta University’s  56th graduation  where 5,600 graduates were conferred with degrees and awarded diplomas.

In the graduation 39 graduands were conferred with PhDs in various disciplines.

Kenyatta University is ranked among the universities with a growing number of postgraduate scholars, including those in PhD programs.

The remarkable graduand was Oscar Agiso who survived last year’s road accident in Maundu along Mombasa road that claimed 11 of his colleagues.

 Chancellor Ambassador (Dr.) Francis Kirimi Muthaura conferred Dr Beth Nduta Githaiga the principal at Mary Leakey Girls in Kiambu county graduated with Doctor of Philosophy in education management . in the same class Dr Githaiga was with Dr Beatrice Abisaki and Dr Rebecca Wakariti. Githaiga is among the teachers who fought towards female genital mutilation in Murang’a county,  in an areas where people secretly subjected their daughters to the outdated rite of passage
