Govern or Kang’ata celebrates his 43 birthday as he commissions Kiria ini ECDE centre

Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata has
commissioned a refurbished Kiria ini Primary School Early Childhood Development
Centre (ECDE).
The programme supervised by Kiru MCA
Morris Thuku was ranked the first nursery school programme funded by the Kang’ata
administration as he promised after he won the election in August last year.
Kang’ata was accompanied by Murang’a MP Betty Maina, Deputy Governor Stephen
Munania, County Assembly Speaker Johnson Mukuha and a team of MCA led by Ms Liz Muthoni Mbugua of
Kinyona ward to commission the project.

He said he was concerned with uplifting
standards of education starting with nursery education.
“I promised to do my part in efforts
to uplift the standard of education and Kiru ward under MCA Thuku has emerged the
leading,” said the governor.
The MCAs present poured praise on Thuku
describing him as a leader who has
listened to the interests of his electorate. Thuku is the county assembly chief whip.

Muthoni also the deputy majority
leader said the uji programme will help many of the learners due to the harsh economic times.

“ Am proud that the Governor came up
with the idea of preparing porridge for the
young children. The porridge has all the
nutrients required by a kid and thus the best,” said Kinyona MCA.
