The Tea Board of Kenya (TBK) has finally published names of the winners in the just concluded KTDA elections.
In the list the prominent persons taking the lead in the tea processing factories are Enos Njeru, the KTDA Chairman( Rukiriri), Nancy Wangari Ndung’u spouse to the Finance Cabinet Secretary Prof Njuguna Ndungu( Nduti), Lawyer Chege Kirundi( Kiru).
Others are James Githinji( Ngere), the youthful Joseph Mahugu serving as the vice chairman at Nduti and John Wasusana Mithamo at Ndima tea factory in Kirinyaga county..
Missing in the list are the names of the directors of Theta Tea Factory in Kiambu county after the election was not conducted after a suit was lodged in court.
In the list 80 percent of the current directors were re-elected with a few former directors led by Eston Gakungu from Kiru tea factory in Murang’a making a comeback after three years in the cold.
