Leadership changes have been made at Kemsa, with the board appointing Dr Dulacha Ejersa Waqo the new Chief Executive Officer.
Kemsa board chaired by Irungu Nyakera appointed Dr Waqo to replace Dr Andrew Mulwa who has been serving in an acting capacity in the past 11 months.
The appointment letter indicates that Dr Waqo will be in office on a four year term effective from July 23, 2024.
Handing over function is slated for Friday read part of a communication by the board to the outgoing Dr Mulwa.
Dr Waqo holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne.
In the 2022 general election, Dr Waqo vied for the Saku parliamentary seat lost to MP Dido Ali Raso.
