The Mountain looking for a choice

The Mountain
region is looking for President Uhuru Kenyatta successor who will be in the
negotiating table ahead of formation of the next government.

In the region,
Peter Kenneth is the leading light who has received blessing from several
leaders owing to his closeness with the President basing on his attempt for
Presidency in 2013. 

Those who have
shown interest  for the slot are Governors’ Mwangi wa Iria ( Murang’a),
 Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua),Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya,
The Service Party Leader Mwangi Kiunjuri and former Kiambu Governor William
Kabogo.

In his native
Murang’a back yard, Kenneth has been backed by MPs Nduati Ngugi ( Gatanga),
Peter Kimari( Mathioya), Senator Irungu Kang’ata( Murang’a) and Mary Wamaua(
Maragua).

Iria is leader
of Civic Renewal Party (CRP) while Kimemia is also the chairman of the Central
Economic Region Block (Cereb) that has not done much.

Murang’a
Governor through his CRP has made inroads in several parts of the
country,  and have held talks with opposition king pins Raila
Odinga,Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi  among others.

Kenneth fame
started in 2013 vied for Presidency against President Uhuru Kenyatta and
accepted defeat and congratulated him.

 He said
he was presently supporting President Kenyatta to fulfill his development
record  for the interest of Kenyans.

“In an election
you accept the results and move on, the country is bigger than an individual,”
said Kenneth.

 Senate
Majority Whip Kang’ata said Kenneth has the experience of having served 
for long in parliament and his exposure in development projects.

“Murang’a will
back Kenneth over his expertism in service delivery and he has mentored many
people  who are presently in leadership positions,” said the senator.

Iria has
declared to vie for Presidency with backing from Central Kenya votes, says the
region must be presented in the negotiating table at all times.
