Two
Murang’a MPs Ndindi Nyoro and Alice Wahome said they will not honour the summons
issued through twitter.
They spoke after they defied to proceed to
Central region DCI office in Nyeri following the chaos that rocked Kenol market
on Sunday, they are implicated.
At the same time, Murang’a leaders led by
Governor Mwangi wa Iria, Senator Irungu Kang’ata and MP Sabina Chege said they
will ensure all meetings in the county are supervised.

Nyoro
said he was not afraid of arrest if there is evidence but will not be cowed nor
intimidated.
“I
have not been summoned not the Murang’a County Police Commander or Kandara OCPD
informed me over the impending arrest or recording of statement,” said Nyoro.
Wahome on her part said the police acted on
impunity as they have failed to arrest
those behind the chaos.
“
If the police are sincere they can track
how the chaos was planned through suspects mobile phones,” she said.
In the leaders forum, it was resolved that the governor will be in
charge of all meetings in Murang’a to
ensure there will be no insults hurled at
President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The meeting also attended by MPs Peter Kimari
( Mathioya), Nduati Ngugi( Gatanga), Mary Wamaua( Maragua) and Muturi Kigano(
Kangema) welcomed leaders to Murang’a but warned them against inciting the
public.
