An alert has been issued after a Mpox has been confirmed in Nakurru as Ministry of Health has hightened survillance.
The case was comfirmed at the Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital (PGH) in Nakuru by Dr James Waweru, the Medical Superintendent.
The case is the fourth in Kenya with Waweru saying the patient a truck driver was traveling to Rwanda from Mombasa through Nakuru town on August 28.
Reports indicates that he got unwell in Gilgil on the way before a medical team was dispatched to evacuate him to the Nakuru hospital.
