The arrest of the suspect came when the residents in the estate occupied by the majority of the public servants reported house break ins during the day and theft of chicken among other household goods.
Mary Njambi said it was a shame that energetic youth were stealing properties in their neighbourhood.
“What is disturbing is that the proceeds from the stolen items end up in liquor outlets,” said Njambi who spoke to The Mountain Journal.
The police responded to a call of distress from the residents and took the suspect to Murang’a police station.
