Usawa Kwa Wote Party leader Mwangi wa Iria will hit the ground in January to popularize his Presidential candidature saying he has done enough interaction with the people from the mountain.
Iria said he has managed to convince the mountain voters to support his presidential bid in the footsteps of the late Kenneth Matiba and retired President Mwai Kibaki who since 1992 have been in the ballot.
“ I will be on the ballot to protect the interest of the Mountain after the majority of the leaders move to support other candidates to ensure they will remain in position after they fall out with the electorate,” said Iria.
In an exclusive interview with The Mountain Journal, the second term Governor said he has the capacity and ability to transform the country to the expectation of the 50 million Kenyans.
“ The electorate from the Gema nation are behind me after they could not believe why the leaders elected in 2017 could abandon them . Now Since President Uhuru Kenyatta failed to prepare the succession, Mwangi wa Iria will protect the interest of the Mountain through being in the ballot box,” said the Usawa Kwa Wote Party leader.
Iria in his pledge said he will work towards ensuring college and university students will be provided with food by the government, in efforts to end their suffering when they are in school.

His administration, the Murang’a Governor said, will establish the number of the students in all the universities and colleges for the purpose of allocating enough reasons to support their feeding programmes.
Iria said the learners should be supported fully in order to turn the country to be industrised, observing that the majority due to poverty levels are forced out of the institutions.

“If the police and the military are fed by the state in their training the same should be extended to our students while they are being prepared for the future,” said Iria.
